kingshifter midwest music scene bands you need to know

Killer grooves!  Heavy guitars!  Monster vocals!  If you’re looking for some music to give your speakers a good pounding you’ve gotta check out Kingshifter.  Put on some headphones and crank up “Dissonant Frankenstein” and see if you’re not hooked right away.  The band hails from Wichita, Kansas and is comprised of “Sprout” on vocals, “Kink” on guitar, Derek Ludewick on bass and David Steinbach on drums.  Kingshifter’s music is chock full of heavy groove oriented riffage, sometimes fast and furious but always thick with melody.  Kingshifter has successfully garnered airplay with the first single “Peace Of Mind” from the new album titled “26 Tons” in several FM radio markets including Minnesota, Indiana, New York, Colorado, Georgia and others.  Kingshifter recorded their version of Black Sabbath’s “Hole In The Sky” for the nationally distributed Ozzy Osbourne tribute album released by Versailles Records in 2012 titled “No More Tears – A Millenium tribute to Ozzy Osbourne 1971 – 2012″.  The band is continually pounding the concert circuit and building an impressive fan base.  Visit the Kingshifter Facebook page for the latest tour dates.  Check these guys out and help spread the word about this killer band.  Kingshifter is all about the riff and the booze….it’s rock ‘n roll!
