Five Finger!  Death Punch!  Five Finger!  Death Punch!  “And don’t you forget it!!”  lead singer Ivan Moody roared out as a call and answer with the crowd.  The line “And don’t you forget it” has stayed with me as there just isn’t anything else in the world quite like a Five Finger Death Punch show.  I can’t possibly go on in this review without mentioning openers Gemini Syndrome, so I have to take a minute and address this band.  THEY ARE KILLER!!  They completely destroyed the stage and had the crowd eating out of their hands.  It’s so hard to be a new rock band nowadays and lead singer Aaron Nordstrom told us in our interview that he believes the hardest part of being an up and coming act is “staying power” and their live show proved to everyone in that place that they have staying power and will be HUGE one day with very much deserved success I might add.  They opened up their set with the hard hitting “Syndrome” which features a killer opening riff and great vocal work by Aaron and closed their set with their most well known track “Pleasure and Pain” which was even better live than on the album.   Aaron has such a distinct voice and keeps things interesting on stage.  These guys will make it big, mark my words.  Next up was our headliner and the band everyone was there to see, the mighty and powerful Five Finger Death Punch.  I have seen these guys 7 times now and they get better each time.  They grow not only as songwriters but performers as well.  Ivan Moody is one of the best vocalists in metal today, quite possibly THE best and I don’t see his crown being taken away anytime soon.  The band opened up their set with the slap in the face “Under and Over It”, a perfect way to open a Death Punch show!  They ripped through an hour and a half long set that included all of their hits plus fan favorites “No One Gets Left Behind” and “Mama Said Knock You Out”.  They WILL be the biggest band in metal one day, it WILL happen and sooner than you may think.  Highlights of the night were when Ivan and lead guitarist Jason Hook came out alone and played acoustic renditions of “Remember Everything” and their newest hit single “Battleborn”.  This was such a great part of the night because it really showed off Ivan’s vocal abilities and showcased the bands softer side proving that they can truly do ANYTHING.

These bands will be around for a VERY long time.  We will be hearing the names Gemini Syndrome and Five Finger Death Punch A LOT more in the very near future.  Go see these bands!!!  5/5
