FALLING IN REVERSE ROCKS DALLAS!!!

- Words and photos by Ronnie Jackson -

When I arrived at the House Of Blues the fans were lined up around the block waiting to get in and secure their spot for the General Admission/standing room only show.  It was a sold out concert and packed tightly wall to wall and you could feel the energy building with each band as they worked up the crowd for the two main attractions.  If you’ve ever been to a show where you are squeezed in so tight there is no room to breathe and no way out, this was one of those shows.  By the time Escape The Fate stormed the stage opening their set with “Ungrateful”, the crowd was insane with fist pumps, devil horns, moshing and crowd surfing everywhere.  At times it looked like a sea in motion with bodies moving like waves.  Escape The Fate was on fire delivering a 12 song set that included “You’re Insane” and “Fire It Up” before ending their assault on the crowd with “This War Is Ours”.  After a quick set change I fought my way back up to the pit for the moment we had all been waiting for, Falling In Reverse.  The chants were getting louder and louder – Ronnie…Ronnie…Ronnie… as the anticipation built.  The lights dimmed and the screams erupted as Falling In Reverse took over the stage and opened with “Rolling Stone”.  Ronnie Radke was in top form working the crowd into a frenzy and keeping security on their feet as a fan ran across the stage in the middle of the set and quickly got scooped up.  The band delivered a killer 14 song set that included “Sink or Swim”, “Tragic Magic”, “Raised By Wolves” and the crowd favorite “I’m Not A Vampire” but the show was far from over.  We were about to witness a very special performance and find out why this was called the Bury The Hatchet Tour.  Ronnie returned to the stage with the guys from Escape The Fate (the band he once fronted) for a 2 song encore – “Not Good Enough” and “Situations”.  Whoever thought we would see the day when Ronnie would share a stage and perform with Escape The Fate again?  The crowd went berserk!  It was an incredible moment and the perfect way to end this night of insanity.  The evening continued outside as the fans poured out of the club and surrounded the buses waiting to greet the bands.
