COLLECTIVE SOUL 20th ANNIVERSARY TOUR!

It’s hard to believe it has already been 20 years since Collective Soul released their first album.  The band made a stop in Tulsa, OK on their 20th Anniversary Tour to play a show in The Joint at the Hard Rock Casino.  The venue was full and the band’s equipment glowed under the blue lights as fans were making their last minute beer and t-shirt purchases and finding their seats.  Soon the lights went out and singer Ed Roland and the band took the stage kicking off the set with a brand new song called “This” as the audience rose to their feet and greeted the band with screams.  In case you don’t know, Collective Soul has a new album coming out this summer called “See What You Started By Continuing”.  The second song of the set, “Are You The Answer”, was another new one from the forthcoming album and judging by these 2 songs and the audience reception this album is going to be a big hit for the band.  This was one of the best sounding concerts I’ve attended in a long time.  The band was tight and vocalist Ed Roland sounds just as great as he did on the first album 20 years ago.  It was an incredible show filled with new songs and all the hits like “Gel”, “Heavy”, “The World I Know” and the light show was spectacular.  So 20 years later Collective Soul still sound amazing and know how to command an audience.  Catch the band on tour now!   photos & review by Michael Ervin
