Coal Chamber is back and better than ever! The band is out on a tour of the U.S. in support of their upcoming album “Rivals”, the band’s first new album in thirteen years. They recently made a stop at the historic Cain’s Ballroom for a night of debauchery. Fans came out in droves dressed in their Coal Chamber gear, makeup and demon eye contact lenses to celebrate the return of their heroes after a very long absence. After rowdy head banging sets by Filter, Combichrist and American Head Charge it was time for Coal Chamber to command the stage. The band dazzled the crowd with huge video screens and a cool lighting system that bathed drummer Mike Cox in blue and yellow lights that made him appear to glow. Guitarist Meegs Rascon moshed in circles in front of his guitar amps and the cool Nadja Peulen on bass shot seductive stares at the crowd while prowling around the stage. The band kicked off the show with brand new song I.O.U. Nothing and delivered all of the hits from their previous albums as well as the title track to new album “Rivals”. Frontman Dez Fafara commanded the stage with an in your face furor like he had something to prove. Coal Chamber owned the scene from the mid nineties until their breakup in May of 2002 and now “The Second Coming of” Coal Chamber is here. They have returned to take their place at the top where they once were and intend to be for years to come. Be prepared for Coal Chamber to rule again!!!
