There’s nothing quite like a country concert. The cowboy hats, the boots, the beer, it’s all present and always a good time. With that being said, there’s also nothing quite like a Blake Shelton concert, fans young and old were here for the love of some great country music from the man himself. Blake’s Ten Times Crazier Tour has been selling out shows all over the country and continues to be a huge success, as it rightfully should be. On the road with him are country newcomers Jana Kramer and Easton Corbin, both of which sounded great! Corbin not only sang a ton of his own songs but threw a few covers into his set as well and had the crowd loving every second! After Easton Corbin came our headliner, the man everyone was there to see, Oklahoma’s own Blake Shelton! Blake came out guns blazing with his hit “All About Tonight” a party song which surely set the tone for the rest of the set which truly was a party! Blake has always been very well respected for his live shows and vocal talents, he sounds spot on with every note and each song sounds better than the last as the night goes on. A highlight from the set was when Blake went on a rant about the WBC and then kicked right into “Kiss My Country Ass”, an ode to those who judge us in our country ways! Big video screens filled up the back of the set as Blake used the whole stage to his advantage. He even came out to the end of the walkway and sang an amazing version of his wife Miranda Lambert’s “Over You”. This song hit home for so many people in the Arena. He then kept the same pace as he went into his first single ever, the love story that is “Austin” and man did he sound amazing here! Another highlight was when the most recent “The Voice” winner Danielle Bradbery came out to sing her soon-to-be hit “The Heart Of Dixie”. The best part of the night came at the end though when he hit us with some of his biggest songs, his cover of Michael Buble’s “Home” and his new hit “Boys ‘Round Here” before closing the show with the love song “God Gave Me You”.
The Dictionary truly doesn’t have enough positive words that I can say about this show so I am just going to close this with a big, If you don’t like it then you can “Kiss My Country Ass”… GO SEE THIS TOUR!!!! – by David Rader
